Sleeping on a tilted surface is immediately uncomfortable and worsens over time. Your compressor fridge also works less efficiently when tilted significantly. Levelling blocks are a basic but important part of the van life toolkit.
The Camco Tri-Leveler blocks interlock and stack to allow precise levelling in increments. The rigid plastic construction handles vehicle weight without deforming, and the interlocking design means they do not slide apart as you drive onto them.
The set of 10 gives enough height range to level a van on most uneven campsites. Stack 2–4 blocks under one side (both front and rear tyres on that side) to achieve level. Takes 2 minutes once you get the feel for it.
The Camco blocks and the Lynx Leveller system are the two most popular options. Lynx blocks are slightly more robust and come in a larger set. For most van life use, the Camco set is sufficient and costs less.
